TAJ International College: The green campus on film

Click on the 'Full Screen' icon to watch this film in all its HD glory.

WolFang Digital was commissioned by TAJ International College to produce its corporate film. TAJ is located up north in the serene town of Ipoh.

Affectionately known as the garden college, TAJ attracts international students to its green campus. Its well maintained amenities and highly qualified lecturers make TAJ a well established name in the education industry.

We wrote the script, which was read by Geoffrey Nicholson as the narrator. We  lit the scenes and shot the film in a day. Scenes in this film were reenacted by students under WolFang Digital's direction. Over than 20 actors/actresses were involved in this corporate film. We shot the entire film on the Canon EOS 7D which was rigged up with accessories from RedRock Micro and Kessler Crane's Pocket Dolly.

3D Aimation was used to create the TAJ logo and give it the impact it deserves. Motion Graphics were used to enhance the message conveyed to the audience. The film was edited with Edius running on a MacPro in Windows mode.

It's finally here, High Definition film making is now available in WolFang Digital.

We've been holding out for a long time, waiting for technology to become more advanced. We've also been waiting for just the right combination of equipment to make it to the shelves. We know now is the time to offer HD film making to you, because of the advent of the new DSLR cameras.

Today, we have in our hands the same equipment Lucasfilm and Robert Rodriquez are using for film making. The same kind of equipment used to make Hollywood blockbusters is now available to you: for your corporate films, documentaries, event videos and training videos. Just pause a while to digest all that.

We weren't content with just purchasing a video camera offering straightforward HD. We wanted to give you more. We wanted to give you the coveted 'film look'. The form of creative expression only available to the most advanced and costly equipment. Today, the terms 'cinematic' and the 'film look' is relevant to you because the new range of DSLRs have nailed that technique down.

All set to take on HD video production. Film making courses coming soon!

We believe we are one of the first, if not the only, video production studio in the country to have acquired this state-of-the-art equipment in such a complete form.

Now, we present to you the newest addition to WolFang Digital's film making repertoire, the very latest HD DSLR from Canon, the EOS 7D. Do a search on the internet and you'll soon discover the glowing reputation of the EOS 7D. The EOS 7D is the heart of our HD film making setup.

The EOS 7D alone isn't enough to produce great looking images. It needs solid support both ergonomically and technically. They came from Texas, USA. We've purchased RedRock Micro's premium offering, the DSLR Cinema Bundle and DSLR Field Kit. This range of DLSR support accessories turns the EOS 7D into a film making marvel with all the trappings. This modular assembly lets us convert our EOS 7D from a tripod-bound camera into a shoulder-mounted beauty in minutes!

We believe we are one of the first, if not the only, video production studio in the country to have acquired this state-of-the-art equipment in such a complete form.

Today onwards marks the start of a new journey for WolFang Digital as we work with you to produce stunning, high quality images for your corporate videos, product videos, event videos and training videos. In the following months, we will also upgrade our training course and commence our HD DLSR film making course for enthusiasts, students, hobbyist and even profesionals. Indeed, exciting times ahead for us and our clients :)

Hon Lam, Illustrator & T-shirt Designer

He describes himself as a 'prolific design machine'. This internationally recognised t-shirt designer doesn't say much but his award-winning t-shirt designs express witty humour that take a jab at pop culture. This video is part of the Martell Rising Personalities Awards '09

Hon Lams t-shirt designs are witty and humourous

Hon Lam's t-shirt designs are witty and humourous

The concept for Hon Lam's video is the 'split-screen' look, also known as 'picture-in-picture'. This technique holds the viewer's attention to the screen as the experience becomes more immersive. Colour grading has emphasis on bringing out the skin tone while increasing the contrast between the subject and the backgdound. Hon Lam has chosen the theme song of the japanese anime series, Naruto.

Hon Lam's bio:
The works of Hon Lam aka Flying Mouse are consistently blessed with great ideas that dance flamboyantly between hilarious criticism of pop culture and elegant surrealism.

Getting a commission to design a T-shirt for Threadless, a popular US based online store, is something designers shout about. Hon Lam has 20 designs published by Threadless and won three prizes at Threadless' annual Bestee Awards for Most Printed Designer 2007, Newcomer of the Year 2007 and also for Best Concept For A Design 2007.

Currently, Hon Lam is committed to a personal project called FM365, which requires him to produce one design a day for a year, with hopes that each design will eventually be turned into a T-shirt. Hon Lam has also launched his online store to get the Flying Mouse name out there as a reputable brand and designer.

The annual Martell Rising Personalities Awards 2009 recognizes up-and-coming individuals who rise above the competition and have great potential to reach greater heights. Returning for its third year, the Martell Rising Personalities Awards 2009 features 10 rising stars from various fields.
