What do you do when the helicopter you’re riding in crashes into the ocean? Do you have the training to survive an emergency like this?
Trainees all suited up for their turn at HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training).
That’s what we were doing at Pasir Gudang Port, Johore, in the southern tip of Malaysia. We did a recce of the MSTS Asia training facilities.
Trainees will be submerged underwater in this metal tube and learn to escape.
Our country’s leading safety services provider has commissioned us to shoot their corporate film.
The simulator will execute a 360 degree roll underwater to imitate a capsized craft.
In addition to the HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training), we get to see their Fire Response Team Leader training categorized under the Specialist Role.
Trainees already have their rebreathers on before the tumble. They are now swimming off to safety.
