Mixing it up with Pitbull

It was a sensational night. We were entertained by DJ Blink and Xu, DJ Roger Shah, Grammy Award Winning Italian DJ Benny Benassi, Hard Dance Queen DJ Lisa Lashes and Mr. MIAMI himself, Pitbull. The party was Chivas 12 Hours. An eagerly anticipated event where 6 internationally acclaimed DJs performed for 12 hours to a crowd of more than 6,000 party goers. This night was significant to us because we shot it with two cameras: Canon EOS 7D and Sony EX3. This is a HD production with a dedicated video camera and a DSLR. Canon EOS 7D: HDSLR goes to college

One of the most challenging scenes were the soccer/sports shots. Carrying and moving around- fast, with the 7D is no easy task due to its weight. But we managed… the amount of shift focus one has to do following the ball is phenomenal but with our Follow Focus, quick accurate focusing can be easily achieved. Canon 7D goes to DataVideo’s HD Seminar

We recorded participants having a closer look at the displays. Shooting this event with the micorShoulderMount from RedRock Micro was easy enough. The rig did a great job at transforming the EOS 7D into a much more ergonomic platform. Attendees were intrigued by our HD DSLR film making capability and asked interesting questions.
